Default Converter won't lock ?? !

HI Guys & gals ! First post here. I see there are some great tuners/vendors on this site. I have an 03 corvette w/5900 miles on it. Just had vig 2800 stall, DTE 3.90 gear and cooler installed 5-600 miles ago. The car was tuned w/a predator tuner by a local tuner here in WI. I have about 150-200 miles on the car since the tune with NO abusive driving, some quick street starts & 1/2 - 3/4 throttle highway runs. Yesterday on the way home from Appleton (80 miles round trip) the converter would not lock up in the last 10 miles or so home ? I drove the car stone cold this morning & it locked up for the first few start & stops & then again it would not lock up. Parked & thought I'd post on here...I'm worried... Any thoughts ??

More than likley you are having engine missfire and need to raise the sensitivity levels in the tune, Theres more info about no lockup at this link https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic-transmission/756674-lock-up-issues-probable-causes.html

I checked the car for codes this morning & there are some, but all in history. No SES light or anything. So it looks like what you are saying is this is a tuning issue. Is this common after driving a couple hundred miles or is my tuner missing something ?

What were the DTC's they could be useful. It is not uncommon for a lock up issue to occur after a few hundred miles of driving. What other mods does the car have?

There are many reasons for a non lock up or intermittant lock condition to occur. What your tuner should do is drive the car, log the no lock condition and determine exactly what is inhibiting lock up.... by simply raising the misifre sensitivity tables an engine misfire could be overlooked... not saying don't make the software change, just make sure there are not actually any engine misfires taking place. Data logging will tell you exactly and specifically what is taking place and when!

Good Luck! Call anytime to discuss your needs.

Thanks Gilbert !

The only other mod is GHL catback. Some codes:

C1222H
C1222H
C1248H (I think)

U1096H
B2282H
B2284H
B2283H

Let me know if these help.
