got M6 console, (LT1) and b&m hammer shifter. love this shifter very easy to use and full ratchedt in both directions. so would be great for manual valvebody too.

disregard that switch hanging. still havent found a good home for it, but it is tucked back out of the way now. thinking of using my fog lamp switch for it since I removed those. oh, its my manual lockup switch. my trans is a 700r4.

I like this setup. Is this a b&m pro ratchet, any info? Can keep stock a4 console instead of switching to 6spd.

dont konw. but notice there's no reverse lockout lever. nice and easy for driving, but not track legal. the one below it also has auto console. you can make just about any of the shifters fit with th eright fab work under the shifter to position it straight and inline with the slot. but it just takes alot more time to get it perfect so minimal trimming would be needed. thats why I opted to just keep my manual console plate. easier.

There's a reverse lockout on mine, but it's hidden by the boot I never use it...I just use neutral for reverse

Keep them coming guys, I'm thinking of doing a TH350 reverse manual valve body so I'll need a good shifter and a good way to mount it up. Great pics BTW

oh, should also mention the best part of the hammer is that it ratchets in BOTH directions. most will ratchet in either direction only, and just slide through all gears in the other direction. and it is one handed operation.
Id like to hear others opinions and likes/dislikes about what shifters?

The only thing about the hammer that I don't like it the handle. Is there any way that you could install a manual looking **** so it still looks like its a 6 speed car? I don't remember what my buddy has in his car, but hes using the stock shift ****, so if you just glance at the interior is still looks like its an M6 car.

ofcourse b&m makes a round shifter ****, it might thread right on there. but you'd still have the reverse lockout lever in front of the handle.

I was looking at the B&M Quick Silver, or the Hurst Pro-Matic 2. Both are full ratchet action, but the Quick Silver is kinda cool, it has a reverse lockout, but you have to lift up on the shifter instead of having to pull a lever. I'm trying to find more info on the Pro-Matic, but they just tell you how good it will look.

Heres the info on the Quick Silver, which may be the one in the quoted pic above by One Bad Z...

The QuickSilver can be ratcheted up or down between neutral and low yet its stick remains in the same centered position. When in the drive position, the stick can be pulled up, releasing ratchet mode and allowing lever movement directly to reverse or park

Cable operated for quick installation and accurate shifting. You can't miss a gear. Reverse lockout feature meets NHRA and IHRA requirements.
Includes neutral safety switch, backup light switch, lighted gear indicator & chrome **** & cable. Can be used with a reverse pattern valve body

And the Pro-Matic 2....

The Hurst Pro-Matic 2 ratchet action shifter is quality engineered for years of precise, trouble-free operation. The Pro-Matic 2 give a custom appearance to any vehicle and is ideal for street or strip performance. It features full forward and reverse ratcher action which can be used with either standard or reverse pattern valve bodies. The shifter is cable-operated to provide your choice of mounting locations and incorporates a neutral safety and back-up light switch assembly, and a progressively illuminated gear position indicator. The attractive black, textured console with chrome-plated top cover can be trimmed to fit any floor contour. The chrome-plated stick and black shifter **** (3/8''-16 thread) give the shifter a custom look. Complete with hardware, heavy-duty 5' long shifter cable, and easy to follow instruction guide.
