Default Vigilante 2800, or 3200? About to purchase!

Just as thew title says. I have a 1998 Z28 with airlid, LS6 intake, pacesetter long tubes and SLP loudmouth exhaust. The rep from Vig. suggested the 2800. What does that usually stall to? (since they are under rated) This is a DD car as well, but the 3200 seems so tempting. Please help because I want to purchase asap!

Thanks

go with the 3200 or even a 3400 to 3600. if you get a 2800 youll be kicking yourself in the ***** for not going bigger. your gas mileage wont suffer much between 3200 to 3600.

I've had the Vig 3200 in my car for years and it's a daily driver, used to be they stalled 4-500 higher than the model line, mine does - don't know if that's still the case.

I have a 3000 stall in my car..and while i'm happy with it..I could have definately went bigger and it would still be very streetable..If i ever have to pull it out for some reason i will prolly get it restalled to a 3600 or 3800. So i would get atleast the 3200 if i was you.

Vig 3200 is roughly equal to a Yank SS3600 in flash and shift extension, maybe slightly higher on both. Yank seems to be slightly more efficient up top though.

My converter has about 9% slip depending on calculator used, vs 6%ish on another local's Yank. Mine has given me 0 problems, so I would definitely recommend one still.

Whoever said you'll be kicking yourself in the nuts if you go 2800 hit it on the head.

I have a Fuddle 2800 and am looking at an Edge 3400 right now. Andre has been great to talk to

Anyone else used an "edge" converter? They seem to know what they are talking about, but I have no experience with the product.

GET A YANK and Go 3200. The higher u go the more gas mileage u use. 3200 is good medium.

Nobody mentioned:
Do you have any future plans? If you plan to cam the car, you'll want a bigger stall than the stock cam. So go big.

I put a 2800 into my car and have been decently happy with it for the last 5 years or so.. However, lately I am thinking about pulling it and swapping it for a 3200.. Vig gives you 1 free restall (or they used to.)

A Vig 2800 is really a 3200 stall, just like a Vig 3200 is really a 3600 stall. They stall a lot higher than advertised.

I would get a 2800 because my car is a daily driver and stalling to 3200 is plenty for me. I would value the added tightness over a measly 400 rpms, but that's just my opinion...

I got a daily driver with a 3200, I'd say that should be the bare minimum if you are going to upgrade. If I did it again I'd go higher next time.
