Default Stripped

As in the head of the bolt is rounded off ? Or the bolt is cross threaded into the converter?

I use an air hammer with a faily sharp bit to get the bolt moving when the head is stripped out and can no longer get a wrench or socket on it. Works pretty good on converter bolts.

In the absence of an air hammer, use a fairly long chisel that is sharp and a hammer. The trick is to get a good bit going then change angles and try to rotate the bolt by tapping it with the hammer / chisel.

Good Luck.

The head is rounded off. And they are hex bit bolts...not like a wrench.

Try to remove the starter and use a drill to remove the heads if you do not have the resources mentioned above by Gilbert.

If you get the head off at least the converter and trans can be removed. Then you will just need to replace or repair the converter. Just a thought.

Hope it works out for you. After being in the buisness for 18 years I have learned a thing or two. This is like a said something to try if you do not have means of chiseling it out of there. Most people to have access to a drill and some bits. It's not the most easy way to go at it but will work. Good luck. Vince
