Just like the title says... I'm wondering which solenoid is the right one to tap into... Also, what are most of you guys using to activate them... I have a prostick and amy thinking of getting the ball with the button on top... Thanks in advance...

That is a pass through connector. If you have means of taking a picture and posting a picture, you will get an answer much quicker. Most quality brakes use the modulator circuit which is located on the passenger side of the case. I have seen a few that are internal solenoids. A picture will help us as far as where they are located in the transmission and how they work. If you do not have means of doing this, I will look to see if I have or can find some pic's for you. This will help us give you better information on what exactly you have. Vince

I paid $1125 for it shipped to my house from Neal... I can't wait to actually use the damn thing... It's pissing me off that it's taking this long... JW was back ordered so it should be coming in shortly but I'm also waiting on a BMR crossmember.... Waiting for parts is what's taking most of the time...

I'll try to search for some more pics of the other side... Thanks for your help...

98turbls1 by the looks of that picture if you have a break it must be using the pass through connector on the drivers side. You might want to contact who built this unit to see if this unit in fact is a break unit. Normally the vac mod is not used or has a plug like the other member has posted. If you have any pic's of the internal pan area this would help me. Vince

I bought it from a guy on racingjunk... I'll take a pic of when I get it down to put a JW bellhousing on it... If for some odd reason it doesn't have the RMVB how labor intensive is it and how much would the "average" shop charge for it??? If you don't want to throw out quotes please pm me...

Almost all TH400 brakes are RMPVB and most use the solenoid in place of the modulator.
I know of one that uses an internal brake and also one that retains normal forward pattern automatic operation.

when I had my trans built they only charged me 200 more to put the brake in mine, if I would have done it after the build they wanted 900 to put it in there after, they said they would have to pull the whole trans apart again, something about drilling the case, like I said Im no trans guy thats what the shop told me when I had mine built.

no, if its rmvb its not an automatic valve body. Therefore eliminating the vaccume modulator. Vaccume modulators are for forward automatic shifting valvebodys.
