Default 4l60e or 4l80e?

I did a serch for this, and came up empty handed.I'm doing a heads/cam swap with some n2o,and amlooking for 475-500 rwhp.If I go with the 4l80e,should I need to have it strengthened much?Is it worth the money/effort for the swap,or should I just have the 4l60e built to hold up?Thanks for any help.

do u ever plan on forced induction?a lot of people start with h/c/i just planning on ~500rwhp.Thats how i started and now i am looking at 383 with f1 procharger. The 4l80e should be going in this next week. Point is think ahead and try not to waste money.U see tons of 4l60e threads every day saying they broke and there are on rebuild 2-3 . If u think that way the money spent up front becomes worth it.
