Trailblazer SS AWD - Yank SS3600 or Vig Multi Disc 3600
Hoping to get some opinions from you tranny gurus. I have searched and called numerous tranny builders on this topic. The Yank SS3600 is a Single Disc converter. Some people swear that a single disc lock-up converter will eventually burn up the clutch plate and that the Vig multi-disc is a must for my application. Others say the multi-disc is not needed and the added weight will slow you down. I agree to some extent that any additional rotating mass may slow things down but if will benefit me in the long run in terms of reliability I'm all for it. Any input would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks

Well it would depend on what you were doing , If your not locking at WOT a single disk will be plenty adequate. If that is your intent then yes you will eventually burn a single disk, Particulary with a small diamter converter, Even the stock full size converter was not designed to do that .
