Default Question on perfect combination for track only car

This might not be the right section, please feel free to move this.

I had a 2001 TA with M6, 4.56 gears and 28" slicks and hit the end of the 1/4 in the sweet spot on the power range at the finish line.

Now I have a 98 TA Auto that I am in the process of figuring out what pieces I need for an all track toy.

I am planning on the LSX block but my question is how do I know what combination would be best for the track

- What size stall - How much over 4000 stall would I go?
- What would be the best gears for the 1/4 (3.73's, 4.10's, 4.56's or higher?)
- How tall of a tire? planning on mini tub and want at least the 28" slicks

Planning on staying auto, not sure on the 460 or 480, just depends on what I find to handle the HP from an LSX all motor. (seen around 600rwhp on the threads here)

Thanks for any advice

I'm guessing a Yank PT-4400 would work pretty well, hell you might be able to go higher if you really spin that motor. The gears is a bit of a toss up untill you know what RPM the shift points will be set at.

I'm really going to have to leave this up to the guys that have been down this path because i'm just taking some shots in the dark at this point because i've never built anything to that extreme. TTT for ya.
