Default Got a ? please help

I have a 98 trans am automatic with 279,000 original miles on it, All stock, The tranny just took a crap on my brother, Well my ? is will a 4L60E from a 2000 blazer work in a 98 up fbody? I can get it cheap. Thanks for any help

If its a 2wd the and a LS1 type engine its from 5.3 / 6.0 it should be fine

Its from a 2 wheel drive blazer 4.3 v6, My brothers trans am is a LS1

If its a 4.3 no it will not work , Wrong input shaft and pump stator.
Though it could be converted you would be better to just get a trans to fit the car, There are some other durability issues between the two also.
