Default Do I need a shift kit with a RMVB?

I'm planning to have a th350 built up, but I want to get the right parts to do what I want. I want nice hard/quick shifts, and the ability to downshift and upshift when I want. I have a ratchet shifter, so going through the gears(there's only 3 anyways) is easy for me. I'm about to order the rebuild kit, but I don't know if I need the one with a shift kit included since I'm planning to use a RMVB. Or does that not really matter? Thanks.

No you can't use a shift kit with any manual VB.

Typically if you purchase a quality RVMB from a well known manufacturer it will incorporate the features you are looking for. Some include instructions for modifications to internal hydraulic circuits, bleed holes, feed holes etc...

Good Luck!

Is there a certain brand of valve body to stay away from? And what features should I look for in a good one?
