Can someone measure the following on a C5 automatic trans output shaft.
1. Total length of the output shaft from rear of trans to end of shaft (part sticking out)
2. distance the splines start and distance they end...from the transmission case rear
3. Complete length of spines (shoud be around 2")

The shaft for the C5 is the same as any other 2WD shaft for the exception of a polished surface where the main case seal rides. I do not have a unit to make the measurements in front of me right now but why do you ask? Vince

I am doing a conversion and wanted the lengths....it sticks out of the rear case approx 9".....I need measurments without a tailshaft housing....I dont think they are all the same???
