Default Maybe a dumb question?

I was just thinking about swapping my m6 out for an a4 and was wondering if there is any way to get a 4L60E to shift manually (like an old th350) without swapping the computer/wiring to an auto? Maybe it's a dumb question but thought I'd ask. I have a th350 setup laying in the shop along with a 98 4L60e. I'd like to use the 4L60e if it wasn't too much trouble. FWIW, It is 90% track car but I would like to drive it some

Well you could install a full manual valve body , other than that the electronics would be required

It can be done.... and it is not a dumb question if you do not know the answer! As a matter of fact it is actually a popular question here. Try the search feature, there may be some useful info that comes up. But, I could help you out either way you wanna go!

We have set many 60E's up to be manually shifted... and still retain converter lock up in cars that do not have computer controls.

That would be ok. Where can you get a fmvb for a 4l60e and what do they cost? Is this all you would need to get one to shift?

Yes and the simple thing to do is just order the HD3 kit from transgo and convert the body you have
