Default question about my converter?

i know this might be a dumb ?, but i need to know a little about stall converters. i have a yank 3600. i need to know how to tell if its tight or loose. i also need to know whats the difference between a nitrous converter and a regular one. please help me with any of these questions, thanks

alos this car makes a KLUNK sound when going into low gear at a stop light, is this the converter, it sounds like its in the tranny, i dont know

I dont know what to tell you on the converter except contact yank. As for the clunk generally its caused by a loose torque arm bushing or worn one and or a bad trans mount

ok cool deal thanks man on the input, i had a guy build my tranny and he asked me if i was runnin nitrous, i told him yes, so im pretty sure its a nitrous converter, prolly need to get up with him though....

Even if it's not a nitrous convertor a Yank SS3600 will handle 100-150 shot.

A nitrous converter will normally have an anti-balooning plate installed to handle the instantaneous horsepower of a nitrous system.
