Default Tranny going out or what???

Well this is my first auto car so i do not know to much about the transmissions...The car seems to be slipping..It hasnt been shifting very well and last night i was getting on it a bit ( like half throttle) and when it got to about 3500 slipped all the way up to red line..something like a clutch would do if it was slipping..My car used to have a TCI 3500 converter but it was replaced with a stock unit...Could this be a converter problem? or is the tranny about to take a poo poo on me? I checked the tranny fluid and it looks fine..Idk any help would be greatly appreciated!

It does sound like the 3/4 clutches were slipping at a moderate throttle position. Keep an eye on it and don't pound it until you can deal with it. You can buy yourself a little time before haivng to replace it.

I do think it is not related to the converter, but is internal.

Take a look at our current sale, click on the links in my sig. Lot's of guys have taken advantage of those prices.
