Default To much power for converter?

I have an old B&M Torkmaster converter i wouldnt mind using with my swap, its brand new and i dont want to buy a new converter if i dont have to. B&M says its for applications with under 350hp. I should be right at or slightly over that limit (i might spray it later on too, pushing way past that 350hp limit). Other than pushing through the stall are their any other problems that might arrise. What are the chances of blowing a converter?

Its for a th350.
vehicle weighs approximatly 3k pounds.

There really is no way to answer that question without actually seeing its construction.

Meaning if it is a medium duty unit and you take to its max effort often, then sure it can fail. But on the other side of that coin... if it is well build with a balloon plate and all of the fins tigged then it most likely will not fail.

The other question I can't answer is if you'll blow through it on the nitrous. No way to know until you hit it!

Hope that helps.

I would agree with ACE not enough info to make and evaluation , But I will say I have sen stock converter survive at 500 rwhp , I thing the big difference is thet the stall is rated at XXX hp and with more it will stall higher, (wont be a 3000 stall but a 3800 stall ) just and example guys,

alright, it helps alot. I dont think it will be a problem because im going to be right on the limit, i would hope the rating is somewhat conservative, maybe i wont spray it and just run it.
