Default What did you think of your exhaust sound after your stall?

I actually don't like mine very much now. Where it spends most of it's time now (2000-2500rpm) doesn't sound very good in my opinion. It's actually quieter now and almost raspy sounding, but not quite. Just the beginnings of sounding like that. What did you guys all think about yours after your converter went in? I'm talking part throttle accelerating, not WOT since that sounds almost the same.

In my case, it degraded the sound of my GMMG. It became higher pitched and louder in the car in the low mid range under moderate acceleration.

I just remember mine becoming louder....it still sounded good, just louder. I still love my exhaust though and wouldn't change it.

I did my 4200 stall at the same time I did my 3" true duals and bullet mufflers and I like the sound at WOT but it is a bit noisy just puttin' around town!

I have stock exhaust and I hate it, but with the cutout open its ok. Gets annoying when I'm cruising.

Lol I guess I am the only one that actually loves it.

Its a hotrod, its suppose to be loud. I love to be able to blip the throttle while still in gear, it sounds so good. I get more compilments on it now than when I did before too. Kinda funny.

Mine is actually quieter. I just don't like it because it got quieter, much less deep, and has a hint of rasp (and I hate rasp...). It doesn't sound horrible. It's still the same sounding at idle and WOT, and I LOVE the sound of it now just above idle (like 1400rpm) driving really slowly now... So deep and rumbly.... lol. But I really don't like the 2000-2500 area, and that's where it is almost all the time now...

I prefer mine with the loose converter. Most are aware of the rasp that's associated with a LT, ORY, and Corsa exhaust. My car has ZERO rasp, and I credit that to the converter being so loose.

mine sounds awesome with the true duals and bullet race mufflers, alot better then with just the Y-pipe and cutout but cause' of the loose stall that low RPM loud drone is sometimes just too much early or late in the hood!everybody know's when your coming or going!

LT headers and purple horny header mufflers.
Mine sounds the same with a 4k stall as it did with the 2800 stall. It just takes more gas to get movin.

my stall woke my exhaust up! It had a lot of rasp and poping around 2500-3000. The stall got rid of it completely.

I dunno if i like it more, probably not cause just cruising around it drones and is pretty dang loud. people look at you weird sometimes cause the car is revving so much and you're barely moving, plus it's loud.

I heard a quality y-pipe will kill alot of the rasp if you have it.

I typically run LT's, ORY, GMMG, w/ a 4k stall.

I plan on getting a stall soon so hopefully it won't bring out the rasp i have around 2300 rpm.

My rasp that was right around that area pretty much went away since the car isn't under the same type of load. The only time now I really hear any rasp is when the converter is locked and its around those rpm's.

I'm in the minority. I was very glad I had a quiet exhaust to start with when I added my stall otherwise it would have been annoying after the first month or two.

dunno if its any different.. I've had a stall for almost 2 years now. I have Kooks 1 7/8 long tubes and flowmaster 1 chambers on the collectors with turndowns.. and I still DD the car.. really its not bad at all but I love the sound no rasp at all since its TD's with no crossover and because the 3600 is pretty loose its easy to rap the throttle and make a lot of noise kind of like a barking dog.. lol!
