Default Two questions...

First off, I've been considering switching my X pipe to an H since I don't like the way it sounds too much now with the stall, but I have a question. I know the H supposedly gives you a bit more low end torque, but would I be able to gain that at all with the 3600 stall? What I'm imagining is that I wouldn't gain any of that low end torque and just lose the power higher from from switching since I have that converter in there that would just flash up right above where I would have gained any torque down low. What do you think?

Secondly, is a 4800-4900 shift extension normal for an SS3600? The dyno sheet I just got looked kinda weird which is making me wonder about the converter, and I just read some other guy with a SS3800 had a shift extension of about 5300-5400, which is a lot higher than mine...

Thanks

Your first paragraph was pretty much a good assumption. I run a big stall in my car, so I switched to duals right off of the headers since running a y-pipe for the added bottom end wasn't going to do my car any good. I saved 25 lbs too, you MAY save 5-10lbs.

The difference between an H and X pipe is minimal.....you won't feel the difference. We're talking a few horsepower at best. As for your shift extension, there are a lot of factors that can change that. My SS4000 had a very similar extension as your 3600.

Ok, thanks guys. Just want to make sure everything is right before I do it and make sure it's right after I've done it.
