stall question
Ok i want to do a cam but in order to get a cam i want i gotta step my little stall up. I want something around a g5x3 maybe a little bigger. I'm looking to go up to a yank ss3800 or yank ss 4000 with 3.73 gears. My question is tech with bolt ons and that big of a stall would it be safe to say i'm going to hurt my performance with that big of a stall, would i run the same, or run slower. Car is a 99 ss with an mti lid, k&n, true duals, tpis long tubes, shaner s3 t/b, slp ram air, smooth bellows, b&m 24k tranny cooler

You absolutely won't hurt your performance at all....you'll gain big time. You'll hurt your performance only by going too small on the converter. If you're never going to run nitrous, I'd say PT4000 all the way. Especially with 3.73's. I swapped my SS4000 for a PT4400 and IMO it is superior in every way. It pulls much harder from any speed and the car is significantly faster. Not knocking the SS4000, it was a great converter. But I like the PT4400 a lot more. The PT series is a max effort NA converter. The SS series are nice and tight for daily driving and will accept spray with no problems.
