M6--->A4 Pedal Swap?
Guys-
I have seen some info on pedal swaps from m6 to a4. From what I saw you have to put in auto pedals? They have sensors on/behind them or what? I have my m6, slave and master out already, now I am to the pedals next time I work on it. Ill read into it more but I assume you have to send a fake input for the clutch switch when using an auto...
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I believe your M6 will already have the electrical parts for it. I believe bc the should be 2 connection that are hooked to the brake pedal. Im guessing its prob just to control the brake lights .. Go and check your M6 and make sure you keep you those 2 pieces so u can hook them back up when you get the A4 pedals in there.

I believe you will have to "rig" the elec switch to be pushed down to get it to start without having the PCM reflashed.
if you're doing the swap - then you should already have the PCM out - put it in a box and mail it to us, we'll reflash it for you, and send it back in time to start the car.

If you are going the other way, just remember the M6 needs 2 switches to kick off the cruise control; one for the clutch in addition to the brake.
Scared the crap out of me the first time I pressed in the clutch and my RPMs went banging off the rev limiter at 7,000 rpm.

Shouldnt need to take the pcm out. I plan on purchasing hp tuner software and doing all the software mods for new 4l80e in car. Thanks for the offer!
Ya that would suck about the cruise, although im done with M6.

The M6 switches plug into the A4 switches in series. There is a small wire harness that connects the clutch anticipation switch (the one on top of the clutch pedal) to the cruise release on top of the brake pedal. Just remove this small wire harness and plug it into the cruise release switch on the brake pedal. (not the brake light switch).
The switch under the clutch pedal is the neutral safety, you need to either connect the two together, or run it under the carpet to the shifter/neutral switch.

Ok so maybe its comingout... I am not learned on the swap yet, although i have seen that a 150-200 dollar wiring harness is needed for the t56 to 4l80e swap right? I was just assuming it attached to the existing one but I have no idea. Guess I need to read more.
