Default quick fluid question

Not an fbod, but. . I just got done putting a transmission in a friends truck, it looks like I managed to throw an extra quart of fluid in it. Can I leave it as is without hurting anything, or should I get off my lazy but and drop the pan? Why couldn't they just have a put a nice little drain plug down there. .

As long as its under a quart over you should be ok, Some guys run that much over on purpose.
