Default 4L60e/80e Solinoid questions...

Any of you guys know the voltage(guessing 12v) and current draw(in mA or A please) of the solinoids in the trans? Also, are there 4 solinoids(one for each gear), or 2 or 3 that are used in combination to select which ever gear? I'm hoping one of the trans. pros here will know.

I've got a prototype built of something, but need to know the voltage and current draw so I can build a driver board to power the solinoids. Any help is appreciated...Thanks.

Here is some info for you. This is some that we use here when testing units on our Dyno. I retrieved this info for you from Zoom technologies, ATSG and Gm hydramatic manuals. It's all a little confusing but I hope this helps. If you need more reference material maybe you should hit me up at the shop. I can make copies of what I have here and also would like to discuss your project. Let me know if you would like to meet up at the shop sometime. Vince

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'm pricing a few components and just wanted to make sure the solinoid didn't draw more than the MOSFET driver could handle. But it looks to be well within it's limits.

Once I get it together and working right I'll have to get in touch with you.

No, nothing specifically...Just an idea I had. Something to throw together and see how it works.
