Stay away from any 8" housings, they will stall too high.

A 9-1/2" or 10" unit would work just fine. You'll need to keep it on the tighter side... under 4,000 rpm stall. I highly recommend that all of the fins be tig welded in place after the stall has been set. It needs to have a billet front cover for the sake of durability and consistancy. I recommend a steel stator. It should also have an anti -ballooning plate.

If you would like to discuss what we could do for you just give me a call. I am confident we could build you a unit you would be satisfied with.
