Sell it and go with 4l80E! but if thats not in your budget, then just Go with a Tranny Cooler, (the bigest one you can find) and a shift kit preferably by TransGo. Good luck.

Along with FLT, there are several vendors (the colored logos to the right) on here that can fix you up.

That is one of the biggest things you can do to prolong the life of your tranny.

It may make it last a little longer.. I am surprised it has not took a **** on the guy all ready.

they only way to "make it stronger" is to have it rebuilt with better parts.

another thing to consider is, with that monster of a cam you have in your car, that tranny isnt going to last you too much longer. regardless of what you do to it now.

Not much you can really do except stay out of the gas... Mine went out the next day after I got the car running from my H/C rebuild.

if a 4l80e isnt in your budget you can always have it rebuilt with corvette clutches and servos/wider bands/hardened sunshell/tranny cooler/deeper oil pan...should help out alot...

Get one from one of the vendors here us preferably but if not one of us. So many spend so much chasing this and that, just spend the money and as they say GETTER DONE!

Surprised it didn't take a **** with a cam, bolt-ons, a stall, and a tranny cooler?
I had a stock 4L60E with a TRak cam, LS6 heads, and a 3800 stall, no issues at all. Just don't **** around manually shifting or spray though shifts.

What is it with you guys?
