if your running through the stock radiator cooler and do not have a large aftermarket or any aux cooler generally just a little higher than engine temps with a stock converter. Considerably higher with high stall. But the lowest temperature attainable using only the stock cooler will be just above engine temperature, What temps are you getting ?

well i just order a trans cooler 24,000gvw and a 3600 stall and a trans temp gauge just trying to see what the temps might be with those and/or just the stock temp for the transmission

I have an SS3800 with two 24K coolers, and can barely get it up to 180* at the track after a pass. It will ususally sit around 160* in traffic.

I have a vig 3600 and a 28k tranny cooler. I average 165-175 at the track in the heat of the summer. I haven't seen 180* yet. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but tranny fluids life span reduces after 190*. I have read that cottonseed oil, soybean oil, sun flower oil have been used as friction modifyers in transmission fluids. Burn these and the fluid breaks down quickly.
