Default bad vibration...built A4

I have a bad vibration and I do not know where it's coming from. The guy that built the tranny says it could be the tailshaft bushing because it felt like the yoke had a little too much play, and he is gonna replace that first. We inspected the rear and the driveshaft. Everything looked good. Any tranny guys have any thoughts? It gets real bad after it shifts into 3rd. All gears shift fine. Bad TQ conv.?

Well the tail bushing possible did it vibrate before it was built. I have also seen the rear case bushing omitted by accident during a build cause that also. And did you change the trans mount perhaps to a poly mount?

Yes I did change the mount to an Energy Susp. poly mount with the preload plate...vibration was not present before the build nor was that mount. but this is a pretty bad vibration..I ran it on my friends lift and it was pretty bad. especially 2500RPM +. Thanks for your input!

Remove the Poly Mount and install the factory mount. I have installed several of them only to find that they cause N/V/H.

Try that and get back to us.

just changed the tailshaft bushing to a babett bushing...it seems to have lessened the vibration considerably by about 75-80%..next Im gonna try changing Ujoints for the heck of it and then if its not completely gone, I guess Ill have to take it out and replace the case bushing But the new bushing did help a lot. Im content to drive it comfortably again anyways...Im just a picky person when it comes to noises and vibrations.. Thanks for your help guys!
