Default 4l60e and 4l80e

Are they the same length? Can they use the same stall? Will the 4l80e bolt right in and use the same mounting brackets?

would it be easier to just build my 4l60e? also how much horsepower can they handle built? I know there is different levels but can it handle maybe 700 at the crank?
