4l80e tranny lines, and other questions
what fitting do i need to install into my 80, my 80 has the feed/return holes, ones is on top of the other.
what kind of line should i run to the cooler...
rubber
OE steel line
Braided line.
is there a kit out there ?
what is a good tranny temp gauge and where would i install it?
i have a larger cooler with a fan...is there a way to install a thermal sensor in the tranny line to turn on the fan a temp i set??

ATI makes a kit that incorporates quick disconnect fittings. It is very handy for servicing the unit. Those lines would come off of the transmission about 18"-24" and the be attached to steel lines using compression fittings and then be ran to the cooler where you could use several different types of ways to attach them to the cooler...
Another way to do it would be to use A/N fittings from the tranny to the cooler and then run a braided hydraulic hose to the cooler and use A/N fittings at the cooler... several manufacturers make coolers that have those style fitting already on them.
Lots of companies make tranny temp gauges. Stay with a well known manufacturer and you can't go wrong. The temp sensor can be located in several different places... I prefer the pan personally as this is the fluid that is being picked up and being sent throughout the tranny and converter.
Yes... you can install a thermal sensor in the lines to turn the fan on!

would you have a pic or a link to the ATI kit.
should i order the fittings from GM for the 80e then install the ATi kit
an suggestions on a thermal sensor for the fan.
could you help me out with finding the right yoke i need ...
