Wel have 4L80E transmissions. But what is your power level that you think you need to go to the 4l80e. Its a good upgrade but alotta work ussually only needed in very high HP applications and rather exspensive at that.

Personally unless your making upwards 700 -800 plus HP I would just get a built 60e from us or other sponsors here. And you should be fine.

You could do that also but it really depends on what your lookig to end up with. Nearly any shop can build the trans back to stock and it will be ok for a stock application Hoever when it comes to building one of there trans for performance thats and entirley different story. Our selves and the other sponsors here have spent year and untold numbers of trial and error on builds to find just the combination, clearances, Presures ,Parts to allow these units to live in high performance us, Not just trying to sell you a trans but I have seen many in this and other forums go the route of the local or self rebuild only to end up actually spending far more than they would have just buying one

Check our website we have three levels and the prices all include shipping and require no core, However if you would like to send your core back we will have it picked up and credit you 150 dollars. So you could figure taking that off the prices you see, Go to www.performabuilt.com I cant advise you at this point which level you need since I dont know anyhing about your car but you can read what is in each level on the site and make a determination or look at them and give me a call.
Thanks

I do not recommend you having a local person build you a Racing unit unless they can prove to you they know what they are doing. We see this same scenario play out every week.

Saving money and going fast are not compatible comments.

No offense, but I am curious.... have you actually explored the costs associated with installing a 4L80E? I ask because you started the thread wanting one of the high end units and then I read that you are considering the worst case scenario build.

let me help you help yourself... I see that you are a bit of a newcomer to LS1Tech. There is a wealth of information here!!!!! I recommend that you take an afternoon and learn about the different options you have and then, once you have it pinned down pick up the phone and call the professionals.

We do this each and every day, all day! We get it. We know what it takes to make one of these live long term and at high horsepower levels.

I will be at the shop all day tomorrow and can help you sort through some of the choices... no worries dude... we'll get you on the right track!

Go Cowboys!
