Default Whats a good size stall

I have a Daily Driver 99' WS6 but I street race the car just about every weekend. I was wondering what would be a good size stall. I was considering a 3,000 or a 3,600 which would be more realisitc. Thanks

I'm trying to decide for myself. Right now I'm between a vig 3200 and yank ss3600. I'll be cammed though, I think the 3600 will be a better choice for both of us.

The LS1 engine seem to like higher stall compare to LT1's.
3600 up to 4000 rpm is a popular stall for even stock LS1's. Call Yank or Precision Industries.

Yank or Vig, both are awesome. the vig 3200 actually flashes higher then advertised more like 3600 and Ive heard great things about the yank 3600. Just make sure you have a good set of tires. Good luck Ken

I just installed a Yank ss3600 on my daily driver and have no regrets.

Personally though I would not see myself stepping up to a 4000 stall as I shift at 2000-2200 rpm already and don't want it to be any higher.

3600 yank or vig should be just fine for a DD. I have a 3200 vig in my 02 SS for the past 5 yrs and no problems at all. check the pic

as for driveability, my 3200 does great. it feels like stock driving around town and on the highway. you will be very happy with it if you plan on racing your car every once in awhile. now if you are going to be a weekend warrior , I would go with a 3600 or 4000 stall. good luck

I believe stalls in the 3200-3600 lock up in the 40 mph range. It can be changed with tuning but I'm not sure on the effect of having it locked at 25 mph.

Whichever one you decide on go one bigger than that. I wanted 3600 and went with 3800. I've been stalled for almost a year and have no regrets. Trust me

Lockup speed depends on the tune and NOT on the converter. regardless I don't think any converter on an F-car stock or aftermarket should be going into lockup at 25mph unless you have some crazy 4.56 gears or tiny 13" rims with 40 series tires on them. 25mph would put the car into lockup at just above idle rpm and will cause drivability problems and probably mess up the lockup clutch. I vote for a vig 3600 or Yank 4000 though.. I love the vig 3600 I have on my car.
