Default Do you think my trans is slipping.

I have a 1995 z with auto trans. I notice when I pull out of my garage that when ideling it does pull as much I have to give it gas to get out of my driveway it a slite incline I used to never have to I would have to use the brakes. and it seems that its driveing up hills at a little higher rpm. could this alll be do to putting longtubes on I just lost low end.

Maybe you are just noticing it due to the fact that your exhaust makes more noise. How does the trans shift between the gears otherwise?

I think since the exhaust is louder and low end changed I seems like its working harder to move but its just the sound.

yup going to explode at any minute.
I'm kidding, sounds like all is normal to me. Your just noticing it more because your car is louder, more then likely.

You'd be amazed how much more you noticed with a louder exhaust. Wait till you get a stall. It'll drive you nuts the first week.

With a free'r flowing exhaust you will lose some back pressure and thus will affect off the line torque. Imagine a stock exhaust like lets say a water sprayer on a hose, it's forced through a smaller opening and causes more resistence and shoots out faster. Now take that handle off and and 10 times the water comes flowing out freely but that pressure isn't there anymore. Did that make any sense??? lol. Did to me. All in all I'm tryin' to say is what you're feeling is in direct result from the better flowing exhaust now. You'll know when your tranny is slipping... It's pretty noticeable.
Automobile Hypochondria, it's a hell of a thing....
