A properly built TH350 can take a beating for a long, long time! It is not as physically strong as a TH400... but as long as you are not over 800 constantly you should be fine with it.

Good Luck!

I know a couple people running them that make pretty damn descent power to the ground and they love them. Both of them are making well over 425-450rwhp and beat the living crap out of them, one had his build up from the beginning, and the other got a 2 for deal and threw one in and had the other one built so he could still drive. The second guys tranny lasted about 6-8 months until we pulled it and put the built one in. I think he made around 40 or so passes at the track and every damn stop light he saw before it took a crap. I havent talked to them about their trannys in a couple years so Im betting they are still holding up since I never heard about either one of them. Hope this helps

I use a th350 with a 4800 stall in my iroc. Not a daily, but running low 11's with it. Not fully built, but has good parts in it. No issues whatsoever. Trying to save cash by going with the th350?

I have been told that th350s don't hold up with a transbrake for very long. Although you see people running good times a w/th350 & brake.

Although my car is a LT1, my TH350 has made it a couple of years of 350 rwhp plus a 150 shot and not even a hiccup.

i know people running stock th350's going fast, i know people with th350's with a simple shift kit in it going fast and for what its worth, One of my best buddies runs high 9's with a transmission specialties th350 w/brake in his '79 malibu. I run one in my truck and for the price i beleive they are great. I think a th350 is just as good as a 400 in the right application, obviously 400's are easier to build for power, its just what you want really.

You need to upgrade some parts in the TH350 to get it to be as strong as the TH400, and it bumps the price up. Both of my cars have TH400's and have worked out great.

one reason i wanted the 350 is because i just baught a new pst 3.5 drive shaft havnt even drove the car yet if i go to the 400 i have to buy another drive shaft. so if the 350 will hold in the 400 to 475hp range ill do it anything is better than thr 4l60 crap box thats in it now. my goal is to only run 10's with the car n/a

Plus the 350 is lighter and don't eat up as muck power. Hell just go with a Glide
