lost all of my gears I bought a z28 from a friend and member on here car ran great shifted firm and had a 3600 stall. The stall and trans probly have 1500 miles on them. I was just going down the road about 50 and noticed i wasnt accellerating anymore and relize I lost all off my gears. Car wont shift into any gears but parks works and neutral does. Any idea what it could be?? im thinking the stall took a ****. Btw the trans has been through and has been upgraded.

A pump failure is likley though it could be any of several things, If you want to check for a broken pump remove a line from the cooler or radiator get something to catch fluid and start car beifly if little or nothing comes out that would be the issue , Assumig the trans has fluid in it, I would also check that and look under car for leaks, Those are the only things really you can check without pulling the trans,

yea my first guess would be converter. i remember flipping the sprag in my junk tci converter when i still had the 700r4 in the syclone. was boosting up for a launch when it let go and hit the rev limiter. had no forward or reverse gears but park/neutral were normal.

did it take out your trans with it? I can live with replacing the converter but the trans is gonna be a bitch. THe thing barley has any miles and was working pretty damn good.
