Car hits the rev limiter before it shifts at WOT is there a cheap shift kit i can put in that would give me some manual control of shift points The trans otherwise seems okay not slipping.Pulled back the tv cable one click because it was shifting too soon at part throttle and that helped it.

Can you provide some history.... how old is the powertrain combination... specifically the transmission.

How long has this been happening?

Does it hit the limiter at all shifts?

The car is bone stock 143k I've only had it for a month orig owner was a woman probly never had it WOT

I changed fluid-filter does it worse on the 1-2 shift will shift if i lift slightly

Doesn't sound good. You may want to look into getting a new 4l60 (700r4) soon. I would drive it easy until its replaced or you may be walking.

At that mileage there is not much to do but remove it and have it rebuilt to a level that you can enjoy for a long time to come.
