Question Why they swap from 4L60E to 700R4?

Why they swap from 4L60E to 700R4?
What is the advantage from install 700r4 instant to 4L60E?
Does it holds more hp or doesn’t make problems or what?
Can I any one tell me the reasons?

It's nearly the same mechanically, but not electric
controlled - pressure & shift are internal mechanical.
So better for a non-computer-controlled (or want
to be) vehicle. A bit more vendor experience in
building them up but I don't think much if any
difference in durability / torque capacity between
the two given the same upgrades.

Not sure who you are referring to but I'll give it a shot.

The 700r4 (4L60) is the early analog version of the 4L60E. They share the same rotating assemblies, for the most part.

When doing conversions some guys who run LSx engines will go with a 700 because they are running a traditional carburetor setup as opposed to an EFI setup. That means that they will not have the PCM to control the 4L60E transmission.

I am thinking to install LS1 on 700R4
Does it hold power as 4L60E?

Yes, it can be built to withstand similar power levels.

I am doing an LS1 rx7 swap and going with the edelbrock carb intake, so I will be doing the 700R4. What is need to "convert" the 700R4 to work with an LS1? I heard Fuddle can make a converter with an LS1 mount on one side and standard 700R4 on the other, would this be the simplest way to go about this?
