cable?

cable? is the cable labled red next to the throttle cable for the trans? when the throttle is depressed all the way the other line is just slack and not being pulled by the black peice it runs through... I have no idea if there is anything wrong I just want to be sure before I pay $ for a rebuild.

On an LS1? The cable closest to the throttle body is the throttle, and the other cable is the cruise control.

oh well my bad then... thought it might be for the trans but then i realized its not a 350.... my trans is slipping like crazy, checked the fluids the level is good and it doesnt smell burnt or anything is there anything else i should look for before I order another one? I really dont want to spend 2k on a rebuilt tranny as Ive only owned the car for a month...

About the only other thing to do would be to get a professional opinion by a local builder.
