Picked up the car today ...
Yank SS3600 was a great street converter, but, the Pro Thruster 4000 just blew me the hell away. I could not believe the power and streetability. It's right where it needs to be for my needs. Some folks said it would be sloppy/spongey. It's not.
In reality, it felt really nice and hits the tires like there's no tomorrow.

Yeah Hawk, it was nice when I picked up the car. The swap produced more SOTP difference than I expected. My tranny is a FLT Extreme Duty - level 5, which I believe is what you have isn't it, John? Killer combo, for sure!!!

I'm anxious to see what you gain at the track. I swear I felt a bigger SOTP difference going to the PT4400 from the SS4000 than I did when I installed the TR230. Sometimes I wish I had kept the SS4000 so I could throw some spray at it, but I do love the pull the PT has, especially on topend. Completely blows the notion that A4's are slow from a roll out of the water!!

I've heard both ways with the Vig 3600 AND the Yank SS3600 ... meaning some folks say both products flash lower and flash higher ... depends on who you speak to. I've never had another converter, so, nothing to compare it to in my experiences.
I've had 2 Yank SS3600's and decided it was time to see why all the folks like ProStock John, Ragen, Matt_D, and a bunch of the other folks in the Drag Race Tech forum kept encouraging me to go with the PT4000/PT4400. Now I know why.
YANK & FLT were more helpful than anyone could possibly know. No wonder they are #1 in both product quality and customer service.

I cut 1.63 on Bilstein level II suspension.....hardly a drag car setup. That was 3.23's, full weight, no sway bars removed and 3/4 tank of gas. With a little work, I think 1.5X's are possible for me. I don't know your setup, but you can compare to mine and might take a better guess. I have no clue as to what ET and MPH gain will be, but I'm anxiously awaiting the results.

I have the old style Heavy Duty Bilstein shocks with Spohn LCA's and P/H bar. SFC's are welded BMR's ... torque arm is adjustable BMR with BMR relo brackets ... LCA's set to bottom hole ... BMR D/S safety loop. Strano front 35mm sway bar, but, it's removed. Rear is a solid chrome-moly Spohn 22mm swaybar.
Rearend gears are 3.73's. I'll post up when I race next weekend.
