Default Another p0748 code problem

Hey guys. I did a search but eveyones Trans seems more moded than mine. I installed a Trans go in my car about 2-3 months ago (02 WS6) and about a week ago it threw a p0748 code. Its the pressure control solinoid. My car shifts fine except it shifts a little harder 1-2 than I like. Where is this solenoid and do I need to replace it or is there something else wrong?

Thanks
Vinny

PO748 is (PRESURE CONTROL SOLENOID ELECTRICAL) I would check that the PCS is pluged in well the terminals have been known to break conection flat blade type and if all is good there replace the PCS.

Its the large solenoid near the 1-2 acumulator in the pan , Its the largest solenoid in the trans so easy to spot just drop the pan

Just out of curiosity. If I happened to not plug it up good enough or its bad would that cause the hard 1-2 shift at low speeds I'm experiencing?

If no I plan on reinstalling the original 1-2 accumulator springs while I have the pan off. Only one problem. I can't remember which springs they were! Or if I turned the piston upside down!

Thanks for the help
Vinny

If its a open circuit or unplugged yes it will cause very harsh low throttle shifts
