Default Shift Kit (Transgo HD2) install price?

Anyone know about a rough estimate of what it would cost to have a transgo HD2 shift kit installed into a 4l60e or if you payed for an install what was it? I want to get a rough idea before I start calling around.

We charge 2-3 hours plus parts- pan gasket, atf, etc... This includes r&r valvebody, r&r servo, installing the kit, and replacing everything. Hope this helps. Calibration is extra,(computer tuning).

I think it was around $75 with the trans out of the car. I was done by a friend of a friend, so I wasn't paying a shop rate.

I paid $150 to have a shop do it with the tranny out. This guy does a lot of these and is very familiar with it. It takes time.

150 sounds about right. The most important part is to find someone who is extremely familiar with the kit. There are some tricks and tips that the experienced installer knows about, including the number of washers to install.
Mine did not need to be tuned to perform great, as far as I can remember (It's been years).

GM charges about 400 for the tranny in the car for install.
