Default How much to install tranny?

Due to not having an tools at college, I am going to have someone put my transmission in my TA. What should I look to pay for the installation? A guy quoted me 300-350 yesterday.

I was quoted $350 and talked the guy down to $300. Sounds right to me as well.

I was curious about this myself, so called a reputable shop. $600 to swap
out the tranny and T.C.

I would think from 300-500 max................I have a local guy that will do it for 250, but that would be hard to find anywhere else. Sounds like that is a good price

ok well the guy is doing it for 300.00 and I also need my exhaust manifold gaskets replaced on both sides so I just told him to do that while he was doing the tranny already. How much u think labor would be if he charges 50 bucks an hour? gaskets are 35 bucks a pair.

Headers? Stock exhaust manifolds? I installed the Kooks in about 2 hours time,
if that helps any (i.e. - removed old / installed new), so I would hope it would be
less than 2 hours time.

F-Body Central in Baltimore quoted me 250 for a tranny swap a while ago. It isn't too bad if you can get the car up high enough and have something to lower the tranny onto. Granted another person is always a good idea as well.
