Default 700r4 spacer question

got my spacer today and tried to put it on and the spacer will not go over the pin on the back of the crank? i thought the spacer went on first then the flexplate... does that pin need to come out or something? and the spacer has 2 offset holes but both of the holes are tapped. whats this for? i figured the pin would go in one of them but they are tapped for like a bolt. help me out please!!

Thanks
Shaun

The spacer goes on after the flex plate. TTS welcome to the boards. This spacer that the user is referring to is a converter pilot spacer. This is used when the converter is not built for an LS1 engine. Vince

Thanks.

I thought it may be a pilot adapter, but I try not to assume anything.
