Default New TH400

im going to be getting my motor built to a 383 with around 350-400 hp so i need to do something about my stock 700R4 with 100,000 miles. i was looking at getting a TH400... has anyone had any experience with the 400 Terminator or the Mega Monster or have opinions of them? Thanks a lot for any help!

IMO at that power level I would stay with the 700R4. You are going to lose so much with the 400 No overdrive, No lockup. Around 30 percent more fuel use. A built 700R4 might be a little more exspensive but the fuel savings alot will make up the difference really quick. Just something to consider
In any xase I would stay with a sponsor here however.

Rossler builds a badass transmission. I run one of his TH400s and I love the thing. Everyone said my car would slow down with the TH400 versus the 60E but it didn't.
I do think you need to be honest with what you are planning to do with the car. If your going to drive it alot then you might be better off with an overdrive transmission.
My car is a late night weekend warrior so it really doesn't bother me to run the TH400 with 4.10 gears and a spool.
