Thumbs up Just finished my M6 to th400 swap.

And I am very happy with my decision. I had a few people telling me that it wasn't a good idea and that I would miss the 6 speed, but so far I am loving the th400. I went with a b&m hammer ratchet shifter, and a yank 4000 stall. Both the shifter and the converter rock. I am still running the 4.30 gears in the rear, but I have a set of 3.73's ready to go in. I run a 28'' MT drag radial in the back all the time so the rpm's aren't really as bad as I thought they might be. The car just pulls and pulls and pulls, like a freight train. I can't wait to make some 1/4 passes next weekend when our local track opens for the season. My previous best was an 11.5 completely missing 3rd gear, with a horrible 1.68 60' time. The very next pass I snapped the ds, and cracked the tailshaft housing on the trans, thus giving me the incentive to swap in the th400. I am really thinking it has some high to mid 10's in it. Then a small N20 shot once that gets boring.
