Default How to get stock a4 shifter handle off

Just curious how the stock handle comes off the a4 shifter. I've pulled and twisted and no good.

Theres a staple(retainer clip on the front side or side facing the radio of the shifter handle you have to pull out, i used a small flat blade screw driver to pry it out, or i suppose needle nose could grab it and pull it out possibly

Why would you advertise the fact your car has an LT1?

The process goes a little easier if you put the car in neutral (or lower on the selector) to get a good angle on the clip (just make sure to put your E-brake on)

I got mine at thunder.

I think they have a limited supply, since the manufacture went out of business.
