Default 4l80e stuck in 2nd gear

Just took my 4l80e for a test drive. Its stuck in 2nd gear, it appears to be in limp/safe mode. I am assuming its an electrical issue, if its somehow a wrong wiring situation or a bad solenoid etc..
This is the first time ever using this tranny.
Just finished an m6 to 4l80e swap.
Any ideas where to start??

It never shifts, always in second. When i downshifted with the shifter when it got to 2 it seemed to clunk, but it was always in 2nd. Could go about 80ish and it was doggy to start.
Ill have my bro check the scanner, i think i saved a scanned run, ill check that for codes.
I think it acts up if it doesnt have that 12v ignition, ill have him check that pink wire and the fuse first.

mine did the same thing. it was because I had no power to the transmission. you should have a wire run to it with 12 volts or it will not do anything.

THanks Darren, this will be checked next.

DTC list was....

p0801...reverse inhibit...
p0803 1-4 upshift
THose two are because they arent hooked up from the m6.
I am using the pink wire from the reverse lockout solenoid for my 12v for 4l80e.
B1001
C0055
U1000 comm class II error(i hear thats common)
U1016 comm error etc...

Did you hook up the front speed sensor and run the 2 wires up to your computer. I believe they go in the #21-22 spots or #22-23 spot's? Can't remeber. ?

Why am i getting PCM P0801 and PCM P0803 codes, arent these m6 codes?? Why would they show up in my new program?
A faulty input speed sensor wouldnt cause this without a code would it?

Think I may have just stumbled across the problem. I was looking at my calibration details in my HPT file under the edit menu. It said manual under transmission, so i looked at the file that was segment swapped for me and sent to me, and it said 4L80E for transmission. What i did was this:Copied the segment swapped(4l80e) file's tranny info over to my stock file rather than transferring my stock engine tune unto the new 4l80e FILE!!!
THis should fix it, ill keep ya posted!
