Default Taking the Electrics outta my 4L60E

Im doing a conversion to a 5.3 controlled by ems pro and have no way to electronically control my transmission. I talked to the local tranny guy about putting a trans go Stick type shift kit in it that takes out all the electronic shifting. So i can live with a shifting car, He told me that he would need to put a vaccum modulator on there since when the electronics are disconnected it causes the pump to run max psi and I would burn up the pump. Also how can I control the lockup feature(thinking toggle?).

Itp trans offers a push botton shift but I really not liking that idea.

Another thing I may be considering doing is using the 5.3 truck harness with a 4l60e plug and using the sensors and ect to control the transmission assuming that the newer 01 4l60e and older 96 transmission are all controled the same. Meaning I can plug in the harness to my older trans and have it electric controlled?

How about a external trans controller. The best one I have used is the HGM Compushift. http://compushift.com

I kinda want to stay away from a manual controller.

That is not a manual controller . It controls you trans automatically and you can custom tune the trans.(pressure, shift timing) . I used it on my 68 camaro with a 4L60E.
