Does any one make a full manual valvebody for the 60e? If not can someone explain how this vacuum modulator deal works? thanx

Several companies here can set you up with a full manual body, However the simple way for you may be to get the transgo hd3 kit which is a full manual conversion shift kit.
As for the vacuum mod it does not make the car shift like some think . Its simply a mechanical/vacuum varied way to control line pressure but has nothing to do with shift timing etc.

So then who do I order the kit from?
I've left messages at Pro-built for Dave but he ain't calling back... or answering the phone.

Also, EXACTLY, what's needed to do the mod?
Transgo kit, etc.... do you have to have the vac modulator?

If someone would give me the lowdown, that would be great. There are plenty of piece-meal threads already started but none that really take you all the way

Does the ECU need a remap after the addition of a vacuum mod set up?

I was told that you will need a vaccum mod if you plan on not running any electronics because the pump will run full speed.

For the vaccum line we I ran it from the transmission to the brake booster, works great..

Performabuilt supplied all the needed parts to run the vaccum lines and everything needed to set it up

I don't have any concerns around maintaining the lockup option as 99.9% of duty for this car will be WOT down the track

From my experience the MVB will actually improve the durability of the trans. Two ways this is accomplished is the use of the low/reverse clutches and the OVERRUN clutch set to help support the low roller clutch (sprag) and the input sprag. I have noted no decrease in life with this setup

OK this thread is from 2008,i have found some recent posts from 2011-2013 that say NOT to use the Trans Go kit ,and make it sound like they are junk..back in 2008 were these considered good kits, and found out a few yrs later that they just messed up your trans...I Have a 87 regal that will be running a 5.3 turbo setup guessing 500-550RWHP have a 4l60e trans that can handle the power, but no more that 550hp..so i am running mega squirt and need to control the trans cheaply..what to do...
