Default Transmission coolers

How hard are these to install. I thought about getting one seeing how hard I am on my car, and Saturday I will have it on Road Atlanta (hopefully!). Which ones do you all prefer? Thanks!

Easy, just find all the tranny lines and follow the instructions.

Personally I am not fond of hose clamps and would go with -an fittings.

they are simple i think the hardest part was just deciding where to put it,but its really simple and just find the biggest one you can. I just went to autozone and bought the biggest one there which was $45 or something, its not bad at all and well worth it believe me i have burnt up trannys before, cuz i was stupid and didnt use one, i wont make the misstake again.

Get a plate type cooler like the B&M supercooler. They are more efficent than tube and fin. If you are road racing and have a stall, get the 24k. The 19K is normally adequate for most people.

Would AutoZone or anyone of those type places carry ones like that?

For a squid like me it sounded all kinds of complicated, but once I did it was unbelievably easy. Also I drilled 2 holes in the air-dam and routed the hoses through there so there is no chance they could get scraped (the air-dam is the only thing I ever scrape).

When you put in a trans cooler, do you have to put more trans fluid to compensate for the fluid in the cooler and the lines?

Yes and you may have to adjust your line pressure.

Autozone might have one like that, but they tend to carry tube and fin style ones. Look before you buy or order one from a sponsor.

I only drag race it 2 times a year, so should I still get the B&M style ones, or would a tube and fin be suffieicent?
