I'm new to the LS1 game but certainly not hot rodding so I would like some advice on the transmission "re-tune" after I install my ss4000 converter when it arrives. I'm going to drive it with the 3.23's this summer but this winter I'm going to put 3.73"s, tsp 228, patriot heads, headers, and a LS6 intake into my 2000 Z28. I know the pcm will need to be retuned then.

Has anyone drove this converter or similar one with out a re-tune and what was it like?

If you did retune what shift pts(mph/rpm) did you use?

When does your converter lock up?
