you will likely never get 100% of the fluid out for numerous reasons until you drop the pan. but even if you got it all out of the pan there would still be a significant amount in the converter, cooler and lines.

The deeper truck pans, with the built-in drain plug, have the drain recessed up into the pan. Don't know why, but they are. Enough that the bolt head doesn't stick down below the pan, when the bolt is fully threaded into the drain. So even the factory drain setup is going to leave 1/4" or so of fluid in the bottom of the pan.
