Default 4l60 to Th350/400

Well Im tire of the 4l60 not wanting to make the shifts and I plan on swapping to a 350 or 400.

But after looking around Im not finding all the info I want for a lt1 car, lost of ls1 stuff. I know I will have to have all the auto tuning changed.

What lenght of driveshafts for the different length tailshafts for each tranny?
Will the stock cross member work or should I just buy the umi or bmr one?
Speed sensor still work or swich?
I probably have the local chassis/fab shop build a TA.

The stock crossmember will not work but we can help with that. We have just the crossmember or we also make the crossmember with a integrated torque arm mount. We now have them available for all 93-02 cars for a TH400 or TH350.. if you don't see it on our site send me a PM

Thanks!

My th350 was setup to use the stock driveshaft however when i changed over to 1350 u-joints and yokes i had to get a driveshaft made. Just something else to think about. The stock shifter will work but i would look into replacing it eventually. When racing it's harder to tell what gear you're in and it's easy to overshift a gear with the stock shifter.

Go with UMI hands down. Besides the parts that the previous owner had put on my car all I buy is UMI and have zero complaints.

I've got a UMI TH350 crossmember(without TA mount) in my CETA and it is a very nice piece. Highly recommend you hit them up

So I could go with the crossmember with the integraded mount and get the 2205 TA.

Yes, this set-up will work together just fine and is what I ran on my last TH400 swap.

If you have any questions please ask.

Thank you!
